[X] RULES OF ENGAGEMENT — DECLASSIFIED FOR ALL WITNESSES
▸ BRIEFING — WHAT ARE THE WOODIES?

The Woodies Feats of Strength competition is the annual proving ground of Camp Woody Pine. Established in 2003 as initiation events to earn entrance into the exclusive group, the event transformed into its current iteration for the 4th Annual Campout.

The pentathlon of priceless skills takes pairs of competitors and puts them through a grueling course of events, meant to test the very attributes that made Camp Woody Pine a local sensation. Teams throw, hammer, saw, and launch their way through a harshly-judged circuit of events. The points are for the record books, the wins are for the glory.

Some of you peaked in middle school... Time to find out who.

▸ HOW IT WORKS — UNIVERSAL RULES
  1. Teams of two. You and one partner. Pick wisely; you'll be blamed together.
  2. The circuit. The field runs as a rotating circuit of stations. Each round, two teams are assigned to a station — one competes, one officiates, then swap, then rotate on.
  3. The 60-second clock. Every event has a 60-second limit. Throwing events give each player a set number of throws listed on the station card. Every throw must be released inside the time limit. A throw already in the air when time is called will be counted if it scores.
  4. Logging the score. At the end of the 60-second round, the teams decide on the score for the competing team, and the score for each player is entered on that station's Score Log (the phone or tablet assigned to that station). The scores are to be said out loud and agreed upon before logging.
  5. Disputes. Teams are meant to keep each other honest at each event. Do not try to fuck over the opposing team. If both teams genuinely can't agree, both teams will forfeit their points for that game.
  6. Tie-breakers. Final-standings ties are broken by an additional head-to-head competition — conducted as a sudden-death round. The station will be decided by the Game Master.
▸ THE GOLDEN RULE — YOUR OPPONENT SCORES YOU, YOU SCORE YOUR OPPONENT

At every station, two teams are paired and take turns. Team A competes while Team B watches, judges, and records Team A's score on the station's Score Log device. Then they swap. Teams do not score themselves.

▸ THE EVENTS — STATION RULES & SCORING
▸ HOW CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS WORK

Possible points per station have been recalibrated so that each competitor has the opportunity to score about 500 points per round. Due to the varied difficulty of events, some stations will have points that are easier to get than others. This is just the nature of the beast. If you don't like it, throw your own competition.

The point calibration is meant to level the field so that dramatic success in a single event does not win the entire competition, and vice versa.

▸ LEGACY VAULT — DECOMMISSIONED EVENTS

Retired events, kept on file in case they earn a spot back in the rotation. None are part of the Year 6 scored circuit.
